Discipleship

Discipleship

Our church has recently begun implementing a new Discipleship Strategy that is designed to encourage and equip our people to grow in their faith. This strategy is the result of a collaborative process involving members and leaders within our church and was the subject of Pastor Tim’s doctoral project at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

We have identified four key opportunities in which our church can equip our people to grow:

Worship Gatherings on Sunday mornings provide an opportunity for people to connect with our church, develop relationships with other believers, and begin the discipleship process.

Sunday School Classes are an environment in which people can dig deeper into God’s Word and engage in stimulating discussions which will give deeper insight into the truths of Scripture as they continue to form relationships with others.

Small Group Bible Studies, which we currently offer on Wednesday evenings, are designed to provide more depth as well as opportunities for believers to continue studying their Bibles at home and form healthy discipleship habits.

A.I.M. Groups (which take their name from John 15, “Abide in Me”) are designed to provide an intimate setting for deep conversations which facilitate encouragement and accountability.

We want to encourage everyone in our church to access these opportunities for growth as we work together to grow in our faith. For more information about these opportunities, please contact the church staff.
