Our church has a heart for reaching youth in 6th-12th grades with the Gospel and helping them grow into the men and women God has created them to be. As part of our youth ministry, teenagers will be surrounded by adults who love them and are ready to invest their time, energy, and wisdom in helping them follow God more and more each day.
Our weekly ministries to youth include:
- Sunday School – Our youth Sunday School classes are a fun, relaxed environment that encourages students to dig into God’s Word and form deep relationships with other students who will encourage them in their Christian walk.
- Sunday Night Bible Study – Youth Bible Study on Sunday Nights is a more intimate and focused setting in which we look at what God’s Word says about the issues we face each day.
- Refuge Youth Ministry – Our Wednesday Night activities for youth include fellowship, Bible study, and prayer! Join us for supper at 5:45 PM and be a part of what God is doing on Wednesday nights!
Additionally, our Youth Ministry participates in a wide variety of camps, retreats, and other activities throughout the year, all of which are focused on helping teenagers grow in their faith. We would love for you to join us!
Our ministries to youth and children are designed to help them do three vital things:
Experience the Love of God: We want to help our young people understand that God loves them deeply. When our kids understand that they are loved by God, they can form a deep relationship with Him that will guide them throughout their lives. One of the key ways that we help kids experience the love of God is by helping them learn about who God is. For our youngest children this is often accomplished through stories, crafts, and videos, while our older children and youth engage in progressively deeper Bible studies and Gospel conversations as they learn more about our incredible God.
Experience the Love of Their Church: We want our kids to know that they are not only loved by God, but also by God’s people – the church! Many of our activities – especially with young children – are about helping them have positive experiences in the church so that they learn that this is a safe place for them to learn and explore. With our older children and youth, we want them to begin to form meaningful relationships with older believers who can encourage and guide them as they grow in their faith.
Share the Love of Jesus With Others: As they grow, we want to encourage our kids to begin sharing the love of Jesus with their friends, family, and the world around them! We want to help them understand that the good news about God’s love for us is too good to be kept to ourselves. So, we provide opportunities for kids to be able to learn how to show God’s love to others through mission and service opportunities.
