Flatonia Baptist Church is located at 225 East 6th Street in Flatonia, Texas.

We would LOVE for you to join us!  Whether it’s a Sunday morning, Wednesday evening, or any other event, you will find our church to be a warm, welcoming place for you and your family.  Here are some answers to some commonly-asked questions.  If you need any other information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

How long do the services last?
Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:45 am and usually finishes a little bit before noon.

Can my kids sit with me in the service?
Absolutely. You’ll see folks of all ages, from babies to senior citizens, worshipping together. However, if you would prefer, we do have a nursery available for infants and very young children, as well as a Children’s Church ministry for older kids (they sit with their parents at the beginning of the service, then leave about halfway through for some activities designed especially for them). Also, if you find that you need to step outside with your infants, you’ll find that there are several places where you can view the service remotely in a more private setting. Just ask an usher for details.

Do I have to dress up? What should I wear?
You are welcome to wear whatever you want. Some of our folks choose to wear their “Sunday best” to church, but you’ll find plenty of people in jeans, too.

How do I connect with others?
At Flatonia Baptist, we have lots of opportunities to get to know other believers. First, we offer Sunday School classes for all ages (9:30 am on Sunday mornings) which offer an intimate, small-group setting that is perfect for meeting people and sharing important conversations about life and faith. We also have our Wednesday evening supper (6:00 pm in the Sellers Center) which is a great, informal atmosphere that is conducive to forging new friendships and also includes a time of prayer and Bible study.

How do I become a member?
There are three ways that you can join Flatonia Baptist Church:

  1. By baptism: If you’re coming to faith in Jesus Christ for the first time and following His commandment to be baptized.
  2. By letter: If you’re joining our church after having been a member of another Southern Baptist Church and would like to transfer your membership.
  3. By statement: If you’re already a Christian but are coming from another denomination or if your old church doesn’t exist any more.

For more information on how to join the church, please contact Pastor Tim.

Can I view or listen to sermons online?
You can access our archive of sermon media clips by clicking here.  We currently don’t offer a live webstream of our services, but we’re working on it!
